CTDA Webinar Overview:

In effectively marketing to specifiers, getting specified is only half the battle.  Product manufacturers, distributors and representatives spend significant amounts of time calling on specifiers in hopes of getting products specified on projects.  Specifiers appear to be convinced about the products, specify them, and then turn around and accept obviously unequal substitutions.

This program discusses basic marketing strategy for product manufacturers and distributors on how to partner with design professionals, get specified, and reduce time spent substituting.  Understanding specifications and the process of specifying products is critical to getting specified.  Partnering with design professionals by presenting continuing education programs allows product reps to demonstrate industry expertise and knowledge.  This program is primarily for product manufacturers, distributors and representatives to enable them to be more effective in supporting design professionals.

Program Objectives:

  • Become familiar with how design professionals obtain and use product information.
  • Explore how to become industry experts in the eyes of design professionals.
  • Review specific strategies and tools for maximizing sales calls, networking, and continuing education.
  • Become familiar with specific techniques for getting specified, helping design professionals hold specifications and substituting when unavoidable.

This webinar is free for CTDA Members thanks to a generous sponsorship from MAPEI.
