Part 1: Design for Life - Ceramic Skin 2010

Gain a competitive edge and preview the latest innovations in Ceramic Skin for 2010. Review ceramic systems consumers are looking for to customize and personalize their home spaces and work places. Beyond simple wall and floor specifications, the presentation will reveal new opportunities, applications and sustainable technologies recently unveiled by the ceramic industry which are being adopted globally by design professionals. Industry expert Patti Fasan will take us on a passionate tour of the technical & stylistic revolution; global trends; and the sustainable stewardship that has emerged over the past decade. Join us for this dynamic presentation.

Part 2: Understanding Tile's Role in Green Building

This session provides an in-depth understanding of the relevance of tile to the green building movement. With a strong focus on Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), the session will also touch on the International Green Construction Code (IgCC), the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS), and the National Green Building Standard (ICC-700), and how projects designed to these criteria can incorporate the use of tile. Attendees will better understand the positive impact tile can have on green building projects, and will be able to explain strategies for achieving standard and rating system compliance among architects, specifiers, and green building professionals.

Part 3: Ventilated Wall Systems: Porcelain Stoneware Cladding Solution for Energy Efficient Buildings

This session introduces the porcelain ventilated wall system, its components, and how they function to reduce building energy use for both retrofits and new construction. The majority of this session is made up of sustainable design information. The session offers more detailed and new information on a product, construction or manufacturing process, LEED credit achievement and other green organizations.
