Showroom Seminar: Cleaning and Maintenance Items - A Profitable Plus for Your Product Lineup

"Helping customers grasp why using proper cleaning and maintenance products is so important is the first step toward achieving profitable add-on sales. 'If homeowners don’t clean and maintain tile properly, it can stain, deteriorate and become slippery and unsafe,' Donato Pompo, owner of Ceramic Tile And Stone Consultants, Inc. in Jamul, Calif., and past chairman of the Ceramic Tile Institute of America technical committee, explains. 'Sealers will help make tiles more slip-resistant, but not stain-proof. If something spills on a surface and is not cleaned right away or is cleaned with the wrong type of cleaner, it can still stain. The wrong cleaning methods can completely change the look of a floor and its grout. And dirty surfaces are normally more slippery than clean surfaces.'”
