CTDA celebrates 25th anniversary at Coverings reception

This year's Coverings exhibition was held at the newly constructed wing of the Orange County Convention Center. Exhibitors and attendees traveled far and wide to experience this hemisphere's largest tile & stone show. Registered attendees peaked at 29,453, an increase of 10% from the previous year. Once again, CTDA members made their presence felt, walking the aisles as well as displaying their products.

On opening night, CTDA welcomed new as well as old members at the annual reception, where the association celebrated the completion of 25 years. This year's reception focused on the Management Conference to be held in Cancun, Mexico, November 4-7, along with the new industry publication, TileDealer Magazine.

Congratulations once again to Rick Baldini of Aqua Mix who was presented the Jerry Fisher Service to the Industry Award for demonstrating invaluable contributions toward the tile industry (top right). Also on hand were past CTDA Presidents Sam Widener, Mike Miles, Jack Knies, Jim Vogel, Ron Bauer, and Mary Yocum shown at the right cutting the CTDA anniversary cakes.

I would also like to recognize those of you who participated on the educational panels. The industry truly appreciates the time you donated to share your knowledge and experience with attendees.

Once again, it was great to see everyone at the show, and for those of you who couldn't make it this year, we hope to see you in sunny Cancun in November!
